While the idea of experiencing a day free from tech seems appealing in promoting mindfulness and rekindling face-to-face interactions, extending this abstinence for longer periods may prove highly challenging. Personal difficulty with such a commitment varies depending on individual reliance; for me, the most difficult technology to live without would be the smartphone due to its multifaceted role in communication, information access, and entertainment. The ethicality of his actions can be viewed through the lens of business ethics—given his focus on quality and innovation, his strategies seem justifiable. However, some might argue that prioritizing profit over broader societal impacts raises ethical questions about corporate responsibility. Ultimately, Jobs’ leadership helped shape modern technology, but the ethical considerations of corporate influence remain complex.
