The goal of our project is to provide an effective project management office space, train individuals and provide an IT solution for the client, Galaxy. We’ve taken the goals and created a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS); breaking down the project into the following main areas and then subdivided them as accordingly. We have also included a chart that depicts how the project is broken down. Train Galaxy's project managers in PMP. Create Project Management Office (PMO). Train three project managers (PM1, PM2, PM3) in PMP, including cost estimation, scheduling study time, and PMP boot camp arrangements. Analyze options for office space to co-locate the project managers, including space refurbishment and equipment setup. Develop formal project management methodologies, replacing legacy policies, and test them with software before approval. Acquire or develop project management software (e.g., MS Project), and create a centralized intranet (e.g., MS SharePoint) for data collaboration. Obtain or create IT infrastructure solutions from multiple vendors, schedule installation, and test the equipment. Train Galaxy staff on new procedures and software, including creating and scheduling training sessions for different groups. The project aims to establish an organized, standardized project management environment to improve project execution and organizational efficiency.
