The intended purpose of this exercise is to showcase the employment of cultural and ethical principles when undertaking a change in an organization's setup. The aim is to develop a team that is capable of making changes within an organization and feels integrated into the organization’s structure and operations (Lewis, 2014). It involves modulating a team to an understanding aligned with the necessary changes in an organizational context.

Change management is the approach used to transition individuals, teams, and organizations using methods intended to redirect resource utilization, reallocate processes, and reshape organizational structures. It emphasizes principles and practices focused on the individuals impacted by change (Cameron, 2012). Personal mastery within this context involves fostering deep personal vision, patience, and strategic planning to achieve realistic goals. Mental models represent external reasoning and cognition processes related to decision-making and anticipation of future events (ReiàŸ, 2011).

Achieving shared vision means fostering a forward-looking mindset shared among team members, encouraging collective anticipation of future improvements and strategies to manage potential challenges. The learning discipline selected for this exercise is self-actualization, which pertains to recognizing one's self-worth and realizing personal capabilities amidst change. This self-awareness empowers individuals to maintain motivation despite setbacks (Lewis, 2014).

The group exercise chosen is the mental model, which involves understanding and challenging internal assumptions to better connect individual perceptions with organizational goals. Working on mental models enhances team development by aligning internal knowledge with external objectives (Cameron, 2012). Integrating the concepts of self-actualization and mental models facilitates effective change management by enabling teams to anticipate and adapt to organizational shifts.

The organization selected for this project is a business entity operating within a dynamic and competitive market environment. Given the rapid evolution of marketing and organizational structures, this project addresses essential concepts of change, its potential impacts, and strategies for managing them. Applying the principles of self-actualization and mental models allows the team to relate external changes with internal knowledge and expectations, resulting in better adaptation outcomes (ReiàŸ, 2011).
