Ver The Past Four Weeks Youve Had The Opportunity To Create A Classro
Over the past four weeks, you have had the opportunity to create a classroom environment that supports differentiated instruction (DI), brainstorm strategies aligned with the Common Core State Standards, and design a unit plan incorporating instructional technology while adhering to Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and DI principles. This week, you will develop a summative assessment for your unit plan, using one strategy from your PLC blog and the classroom environment outlined previously. The summative assessment must include:
- The specific Common Core State Standard being assessed for mastery (it can be the same as in Week Four).
- A unit goal that aligns with the CCSS: "The students will (Measurable Verb) by (specific outcome with a specific tool) with ___% accuracy," including:
- How mastery will be measured (e.g., classify, create, evaluate).
- The specific task students will perform to demonstrate mastery.
- The tool used to measure progress (e.g., project, test).
- The proficiency level deemed acceptable.
- Three formative assessments — one for each day of your lesson plan — each utilizing a differentiated teaching strategy, addressing multiple intelligences and learning styles, and explaining how results will influence subsequent instruction.
- A summative assessment from your unit plan, including:
- Directions written in vocabulary suited for your student population.
- A rubric analyzing the grading criteria for each part of the assignment.
- Consideration of multiple intelligences and learning styles.
Your completed assignment should be at least five pages, include references to your course text and at least one scholarly or reputable online resource, all cited properly in APA format, along with a title and reference page.
