The purpose of this discussion board is to reflect on and describe how you would like to be evaluated as a coach. There are two parts to this discussion.

Part 1 asks you to use the worksheets in chapter 10 to summarize how coaches should be evaluated and discuss practical considerations for conducting coach evaluations. You should identify at least one of the program evaluation tools from table 10.1 in the text that you would like to have used when being evaluated, explaining why you chose this instrument. Additionally, discuss how this choice aligns with your personal philosophy of coaching.

Part 2 explores the application of this evaluation approach from an athletic director’s perspective. Using worksheet 10.8 and providing a specific situation, you will identify which evaluation approach you would use and explain why. Also, consider which approach you believe to be least effective and provide reasons for this assessment.
