Top Two Team Variables
In evaluating our team’s interactions and overall effectiveness, the variables that stood out as our strongest are cohesion and communication systems. Cohesion refers to the unity and mutual commitment among team members, which was evident through our high levels of collaboration and supportive interactions. According to Tuckman’s model of team development, cohesion is critical for facilitating stages of teamwork such as performing (Tuckman, 1965). Our team displayed strong cohesion, resulting in increased trust and smoother task execution.
Communication systems were another vital aspect of our success. Effective communication enables clear exchange of ideas, reduces misunderstandings, and fosters cohesion (Keyton, 2011). Our team developed and utilized various communication channels, including virtual meetings, group chats, and shared documents, which maintained transparency and alignment on tasks. Two Areas for Improvement
Despite our strengths, there are areas where our team could improve. Decision-making processes and conflict resolution strategies emerged as key areas for growth.
