This essay allows you to pick from 1 of 2 options. You do not need to respond to both prompts and write 2 essays. Just choose ONE PROMPT and write ONE essay. Option 1: Write an essay that is a profile of a great leader. Please choose any person you wish to write about, such as a political leader, historical leader, business leader, relative, etc. You may not choose a fictional character. Use theories learned and key concepts in this class to establish and analyze his or her greatness. Option 2: Write an essay that describes your own personal leadership development plan. If desired, take an Emotional Intelligence Test online to better understand your strengths and weaknesses and specifically discuss how you plan to improve. This essay, just like in Option 1, requires you to incorporate theories and key concepts learned in this class.
In other words, you may not simply write a "fluff" essay in a matter of minutes and submit. I expect this essay to be just as academic as Option 1, but relating it to yourself. Choose one of any the two options to complete the assignment. I will attach the grading rubric and essay writing tips for a full grade. The essay should be four pages long.
