Among educational institutions, University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) faces unique challenges that require refined management practices and dedicated efforts to ensure strategic goals are realized. Rather than focusing solely on what strategies to adopt, it is vital to consider the essential steps and "magic ingredients" that facilitate successful execution by UIW employees. This paper explores key recommendations for UIW leaders aimed at fostering an environment conducive to effective strategy implementation amidst current adversities.
Understanding the Context and Challenges
The current landscape for higher education is heavily influenced by the COVID-19 pandemic, economic downturns, and rapid technological changes. These factors have heightened uncertainty, financial constraints, and shifts in student and faculty expectations (Bryson et al., 2021).
