This Review Will Focus On Either Solid Waste Management Or Occupationa

This review will focus on either Solid Waste Management or Occupational Health. As in previous article reviews, you are required to conduct a literature search in peer-reviewed journals and follow the assignment prompts provided in the review guide. News items are not allowed. You must choose your own article to review, ensuring your selection aligns with the key terms such as “solid waste management,” “occupational health,” “injuries,” “exposure,” “prevention,” or related technical keywords to address the assignment points.

Visit the WKU Libraries and utilize their search engines for peer-reviewed articles that have been purchased by the university. You should focus exclusively on either solid waste management or occupational health, not both. The assignment involves three main tasks:

  1. Bibliographic information: Present the citation of your selected article as the title of your review, following the appropriate format based on the article type (peer-reviewed journal article, technical report, or book chapter).
  2. Brief summary: Summarize the main points discussed in the article, including factors affecting poor solid waste management or how mismanaged waste contributes to pollution, or, for occupational health, the major injuries, illnesses, industries involved, and conditions like diseases. Also, explain how populations are exposed to these hazards and ways to mitigate these effects.
  3. Detailed analysis: Critically analyze the article by elaborating on the points summarized, discussing its strengths and limitations, and considering effects on vulnerable populations like children or minorities if applicable. Additionally, evaluate prevention strategies related to poor waste management or occupational hazards at the population level.

The final product should be a one-page Word document addressing all the points listed above, submitted via the Article Review link in Blackboard.
