As you examine the patient case studies in this module’s Resources, consider how you might assess and treat patients presenting symptoms of neurological and musculoskeletal disorders.

In this paper, I will first summarize the specific case assigned, including the three pivotal decisions I made regarding diagnosis and treatment. My assigned patient case involved a middle-aged individual presenting symptoms consistent with possible neurological deficits and musculoskeletal complications. The initial assessment indicated symptoms such as joint pain, muscle weakness, and neurological impairments like numbness or tingling sensations in extremities. Based on the case prompts, my first decision was to order neuroimaging to rule out structural brain or spinal cord abnormalities.
