This Week You Are To Look Up Your Companys 2021 10 K Annual Report W
This week you are to look up your company's 2021 10-K Annual Report (which is the financial statement public companies file) and examine the Management's Discussion & Analysis (MD&A) section. Your task is to find the report by searching your company's name along with "-k Annual Report" and access the full-year results. If 2021 data is unavailable, use 2020 results. Look for the MD&A section, which explains management’s perspective on the financials. You should locate and screen capture the first page of the MD&A section for submission. Then, analyze the section to answer the following questions:
- List 2 comments on financial performance (e.g., growth, income, profit/loss), including context for clarity.
- List 3 positives or opportunities in the business environment with explanations.
- List 3 negatives or risks facing the business, with explanations.
Next, find two classmates with similar positives or challenges and share your findings—this exercise aims to deepen your understanding of financial statements, which is essential for your professional career.
