In writing, this relationship manifests through diligent citation practices, proper paraphrasing, and adherence to formatting standards that reflect originality and respect for intellectual property. When students produce work that upholds academic integrity, they demonstrate respect for ethical scholarly practices, which directly translates to professional integrity—an essential quality in nursing and healthcare settings. Nurses and healthcare professionals are expected to adhere to ethical standards that promote trust, patient safety, and evidence-based practice; thus, personal integrity established through academic honesty forms the foundation for professional conduct (American Nurses Association, 2015).
