Enforcing laws that ban e-cigarette use within school premises further supports this initiative by creating a vape-free environment.

This change initiative aligns with the population of focus, which is high school students engaging in vaping, as well as the school setting where peer influence and accessibility are significant factors. As a nurse involved in youth health promotion, my role is to advocate for evidence-based policies and educational strategies that reduce vape use and its related health risks. The initiative supports the population by addressing the behavioral and environmental factors contributing to vaping and aims to decrease associated respiratory injuries, hospitalizations, and fatalities.
