Assemble a detailed construction estimate to construct the Medical Clinic as per the attached plans and specifications. Bids will be opened publicly in class. Detailed estimates shall be submitted in spreadsheet form with costs broken down into the 16 divisions as per the Masterformat coding system. All assumptions shall be listed on a separate sheet and attached to the estimate. It is expected that your detailed estimate will be a complete estimate which covers every item necessary to construct this facility.
As part of the proposal, you will submit alternate #1 for the add or deduct amount to install the foundation as per sheet S-1A and alternate #2 for the add or deduct amount to construct masonry walls as per sheet S-1B in lieu of the wood framing as specified. In addition, you will submit an alternate price for each of alternate items #3, 4, and 5 as indicated in the project specifications. Please disregard the soils report section, it is not applicable. I have made some minor modifications to the plans by hand in an effort to clarify some items and make others more applicable to this region. In your estimate, in the appropriate sections, please carry a line item allowance of $50,000 for medical equipment and $2,300 for lighting fixtures.
