Leadership development is a dynamic and multifaceted journey that requires awareness and deliberate effort. To effectively analyze my growth, I first need to articulate clear definitions of core leadership concepts, referencing relevant literature to ensure clarity. Management savvy refers to the ability to understand and efficiently utilize management principles and practices to achieve organizational goals (Roberts, 2020). Leadership credibility involves building trust and confidence among followers through transparency, consistency, and integrity (Brown & Treviño, 2006). Cultural awareness encompasses understanding and respecting diverse cultural backgrounds and how they influence interactions and decision-making (Earley & Ang, 2003). Political intelligence relates to understanding organizational politics and using this knowledge ethically to advance strategic objectives (Ferris et al., 2005). Functional power pertains to the capacity to influence others and make decisions that impact operational outcomes (French & Raven, 1959).
