Week 2 Project Charter: Overview Of Project Management Proce

Week 2 Project Charter: Overview of Project Management Process and Requirements

This course project introduces an opportunity to explore all the project stages (from inception to closing) facilitated by the well-known Project Management Group Processes (initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and control, and closure) as outlined in the PMBOK® Guide.

Students must pick a personal project from a provided list or get approval for a different project type. The project should be written as if the student is in charge, with personnel and details created as needed. Work should demonstrate application of key project management principles (scope, cost, schedule, quality, resources, risk, procurement, communication, stakeholder management) without including definitions or generic explanations.

The project must include a project charter that covers specific elements such as project purpose, objectives, scope, success criteria, funding, deliverables, acceptance criteria, key assumptions, constraints, major risks, approval requirements, project manager, and sponsor designee. Each section must be titled exactly as specified, contain the required number of bullets or paragraphs, and follow formatting guidelines (Times New Roman, 12-point font, APA 7 title page). Referencing or citations are not permitted for Week 2 work, and all submissions must be uploaded via Turnitin with a similarity score below 10%. Failure to follow instructions correctly may result in point deductions or zero grades.

By the end of week two, students are expected to submit a project charter that is approved by the course instructor acting as the project sponsor, including all the outlined components in the specified order, without combining sections or including extra categories.
