The development of these questions requires a careful balancing of empathy, curiosity, and clinical relevance to elicit meaningful responses that inform diagnosis and treatment plans (McLeod, 2013). For this assignment, I have crafted ten questions designed to explore various facets of an individual's mental health and personal history.

My questions include probes about current emotional states, past experiences with mental health issues, interpersonal relationships, coping mechanisms, and environmental factors influencing their well-being. For instance, I would ask, "Can you describe how you typically feel during a stressful situation?" or "Tell me about your relationships with family and friends." These questions aim to open a dialogue that reveals underlying issues or strengths. Additionally, I would inquire about their history of mental health treatment, substance use, and significant life events, such as, "Have you ever sought professional help before?" or "What major life changes have you experienced recently?" Such inquiries afford a holistic understanding of the client's background and contextual factors affecting their mental health.

Regarding the annotated bibliography, I selected an article by Kiyonaga (2004) that discusses the implications of an aging workforce on social institutions, including health care.
