W6 D1 Directionsrior To Beginning Work On This Interactive Assignment

Review the recommended resources for this week to assist in creating an effective presentation of your Research Design. This assignment involves producing a dynamic presentation of your Research Proposal materials, similar to what is used in professional settings to request Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval and funding. The presentation should summarize the main points and ideas of your Research Design. You will share and receive feedback on it with classmates and your instructor to improve your proposal before final submission.

Using PowerPoint, create a presentation file and record a three- to five-minute screencast video with pertinent audio discussing each slide’s important points. Prepare a script for your screencast to stay within the time limit and ensure clarity. You may use any screencasting software such as Screencast-O-Matic or Jing. Attach both the PowerPoint and script in your initial post.

The content of your presentation must include the following:

  • A brief introduction
  • A specific research question related to your Week One topic
  • The importance of your topic and research question
  • A brief literature review evaluating published studies, including two relevant studies identified during Weeks One, Two, and Four
  • A description of potential research methods
  • A rationale for your chosen research approach and design
  • A discussion of ethical considerations and how you plan to address potential ethical issues
  • A conclusion summarizing the main points and emphasizing the importance of your proposed research
