The agency primarily utilizes secure video conferencing platforms, such as HIPAA-compliant Zoom, to conduct supervision sessions remotely. This technology enables regular, flexible meetings, especially beneficial for field staff who work across different locations or have scheduling constraints. Additionally, agency staff use electronic case management systems that allow for real-time updates, document sharing, and remote consultation, streamlining the supervisory process and fostering more efficient case reviews.
Regarding the use of Technology-Assisted Supervision and Training (TAST), personal experience has demonstrated several positives. TAST improves accessibility by removing geographical barriers, allowing supervisors to connect with supervisees regardless of physical location. It also offers flexibility in scheduling, accommodating diverse caseloads and personal commitments. Furthermore, TAST allows for recording sessions, providing opportunities for reflective learning and review.
