Paper For Above instruction

Poem 1: "Whispering Shadows" (after Edgar Allan Poe's "The Raven")

Whispering Shadows

after "The Raven" by Edgar Allan Poe

In the midnight gloom, where shadows creep,

A silent specter begins to seep,

Through fractured dreams and mournful cries,

It lingers with unseen, haunted eyes.

Darkness whispers secrets old,

In tales of sorrow softly told,

A symbol of despair’s cold breath,

A reminder of death’s silent death.

Imagery paints this spectral night,

With figures lost in flickering light,

Figurative whispers, mournful and deep,

Of broken hearts that cannot sleep.

The theme echoes—fear and grief,

A darkened soul’s unspoken belief,

That shadows hold what light denies—

The truth of loss behind our cries.

Poem 2: "Echoes of the Past" (after Poe's "Annabel Lee")

Echoes of the Past

after "Annabel Lee" by Edgar Allan Poe

In dreams I hear her distant song,

A melody so pure and strong,

Though time has faded, love remains,

A ghostly echo through my veins.

Symbols dance—a crashing sea,

A love that forever will be,

The starry sky where angels dwell,

A sacred place, a nightly spell.

Figurative whispers fill the air,

Reminding me she's always there,

In every shadow, every tear,

Her spirit whispers, ever near.

This theme—love enduring death—

A bond that time cannot efface,

A testament beyond our breath,

A lasting, eternal grace.
