Write a review of the material for the following resources. And then reply to the following two posts 1. Virtual tour of Edo. My impression of this website was that after a few screens it was obvious that the authors put a great deal and effort in making it. Although it's quite a lot of reading, it isn't boring reading, each screen takes you through a point in time in Edo Japan as if you are actually there.
Another impression form the artwork is that the website looks somewhat old, so I commend the authors even more for their work, making it very easy to navigate. There were several things I learned from this virtual tour which I didn't know before, like the checkpoints, the lodgings, the shopping stores for the travelers, toll booths for merchants to pay for tariffs, the commoner's inns, and also the Buddhist lotus temples. 2. Virtual Tour of Edo I chose to explore virtual tour of Edo. Edo is the original name for Tokyo, and this site is about Tokyo in late 18th century when Tokyo was the largest city.
After I explored this site, I found this site is really interesting and good for people who are interested in origin and history of Tokyo in 18th century. Also, it is well organized. There are a lot of good and detailed information about people and their lives in ancient Tokyo. It was really fun to look over this site and made me to actually travel to 18th century of Tokyo. This site is really fun because it enables to look over the specific places by clicking the map.
Also, how this site is designed made really easy to look over the information. I think having virtual tour makes it easy and fun to learn history.
