The concept that "You are what you eat" highlights the influence of nutrition on our physical and mental well-being. During this week, I diligently logged my meals and drinks from Monday to Friday, and this practice made me more aware of my eating habits. I found that I ate breakfast on four days, which is a positive step toward maintaining energy levels throughout the day. I consumed at least one fruit on three days and included vegetables in my meals twice, indicating room for improvement in increasing my fruit and vegetable intake. Unfortunately, I indulged in junk food, such as chips and candy, on two days, and drank soda on three days, which I recognize is not ideal for health. My water intake was adequate, averaging about 64 ounces daily, which I believe supported my hydration needs. Based on this week’s eating habits, I would rate my nutrition a 6 out of 10, as I managed to include some healthy foods but also relied on less nutritious options. One change I would like to implement is reducing my consumption of sugary snacks and soda to improve my overall health. Overall, this activity helped me realize the importance of balanced eating and motivated me to make healthier choices moving forward.
