You will choose from current events/news any article of your choice regarding a concept in Commercial Law. Using IRAC (Issue, Rule, Argument, Conclusion), you will write a legal memo formulating your own issues based on the legal disputes in the article of your choice. See examples below. Email me your draft. For the final version, you will upload the recording of your presentation (will upload a sample of prior students' work. However, you are NOT allowed to present on fraudulent misrepresentation. (I have added the samples as an attachment that my professor gave the class).

- Conclusion: Summarize the outcome based on legal reasoning.
Students should craft their memo clearly, succinctly, and professionally, ensuring that each IRAC component logically flows into the next. The draft email must be submitted for review, providing an opportunity for feedback before completing the final presentation, which should be a recording explaining the legal issues discussed.
In choosing an article, it is essential to focus on recent, credible sources such as reputable newspapers, legal journals, or official reports. The topic must relate directly to a concept within Commercial Law, for example, contract formation, breach, remedies, agency law, or commercial transactions.
The final presentation should effectively communicate the legal reasoning, demonstrating understanding of the case and how the legal principles apply. It is crucial to avoid topics explicitly prohibited by the instructor, specifically fraudulent misrepresentation, ensuring the presentation content remains within the assigned scope.
