Action Research Selectionyour Written Response To This Discussion Prom

Action Research Selection your written response to this discussion prompt assesses your ability to both describe the action research proposal process and formulate evidence-based recommendation for selecting an appropriate action research topic. This discussion also supports your achievement of Course Learning Outcome 5. According to the North Central Regional Educational Laboratory (NCREL), “Action research is inquiry or research in the context of focused efforts to improve the quality of an organization and its performance. It typically is designed and conducted by practitioners who analyze the data to improve their own practice,” (as cited in Action Research, n.d., para. 1). As you read this week in the Instructor Guidance and Chapter 3 of your text, keep in mind the NCREL definition of action research as you select your study to peer review for the Week Six assignment.

Paper For Above instruction

For this assignment, I selected an action research study that focuses on developing inclusive educational practices through collaborative efforts among educators. The study, conducted by Argyropoulos and Nikolaraizi (2009), investigates how collaborative action research can promote academic access for students with disabilities, specifically targeting a pupil with blindness and a deaf pupil in mainstream settings. This topic resonates with my current professional role as an educator working towards fostering inclusive classrooms and supporting diverse learners. The practical implications of this study align with my goal of implementing effective inclusive strategies, ensuring that all students receive equitable access to learning opportunities.

I chose this topic because inclusive education is a critical area in contemporary teaching environments, and the research offers valuable insights into practical, collaborative approaches to addressing diverse student needs. The action research methodology emphasizes practitioner-led inquiry, which is directly applicable to my professional practice. By investigating inclusive practices through action research, I aim to refine my instructional techniques and foster a more accommodating and supportive classroom environment. This study supports my future professional goals of becoming an inclusive education specialist and contributing to the development of policies and practices that promote equity for all students.
