For this paper, I selected the field of counseling, which typically requires a master's degree for licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). This decision was motivated by my interest in mental health services and helping individuals improve their well-being. To pursue this ambition, I researched three graduate programs that offer suitable master's degrees in counseling, assessing their accreditation status, licensure eligibility, and alignment with state requirements.
Selected Graduate Programs
The first program is the Master of Science in Counseling at the University of Stateville. This program is accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling & Related Educational Programs (CACREP), which is essential for licensure in many states. CACREP accreditation ensures that the curriculum meets national standards necessary for eligibility for licensure.
