Title: Reflection on Dissemination of Capstone Project Change Proposal

The dissemination of my Capstone Project Change Proposal was a pivotal step in demonstrating the practical applications of my scholarly work within an interdisciplinary team. The presentation aimed to communicate the significance of the proposed change to stakeholders at my practicum site, fostering understanding, support, and collaboration. The audience comprised a diverse group of healthcare professionals, including nurse managers, clinical staff, and administrative leaders, all of whom have a direct or indirect role in implementing or supporting the proposed project.

During my presentation, I prioritized professionalism through clear and confident communication, ensuring that my message was understandable and engaging. Two specific ways I communicated professionally included maintaining eye contact to establish trust and credibility, and employing a calm, articulate tone that conveyed confidence. These strategies fostered a positive environment conducive to open dialogue and constructive feedback.

Following the presentation, I received valuable feedback and questions from the audience. One stakeholder inquired about the specific strategies for implementing the proposed change and the anticipated challenges. Another asked about how the proposed intervention aligns with current organizational goals and policies. These questions indicated a keen interest in understanding the practical aspects of the implementation process and emphasized the importance of aligning the project with organizational priorities.

While preparing and delivering the presentation, I recognized potential biases that could have influenced my delivery. One such bias was an assumption that all stakeholders would have a baseline understanding of the project details, which may have led to insufficient explanation of certain aspects. Additionally, my passion for the project might have caused me to overlook questions that challenged my assumptions or proposed modifications.

This interprofessional collaboration and presentation experience significantly impact my professional practice. It reinforced the importance of clear, respectful communication and the need to tailor messages to diverse audiences. It also highlighted the value of actively listening to feedback, which can lead to improved implementation strategies and stronger collaborative relationships. Moving forward, I will leverage these skills to foster an environment of mutual learning and shared purpose, which are essential elements in advancing quality patient care and organizational improvement.
