BUS230 Technology And Research Methods

Each group must choose an academic topic, search for data related to it, and provide informative research about it. The outline should include the following points:

  • Rationale for the selected topic: explain the topic and the reason why you chose it.
  • Google Trends report: answer 5 questions related to the popularity of the topic in different regions of the world.
  • Summaries of two academic sources: each student needs to present references and summaries of two sources (books, journals, eBooks, etc.) related to their subtopic. The sources should be from reputable academic databases such as AUM library’s catalog, avoiding poor-quality web sources.
  • Elements of a reference: for each source, identify different elements of the reference (author, organization, date, title, publisher, etc.) and fill the provided table.

Paper For Above instruction

A comprehensive research paper following these points would begin with a clear statement of the selected topic and its rationale, providing context on why this topic is relevant or of interest. The paper would then present a Google Trends analysis, including the keyword used, the top ten countries where the trend is most prominent, the period of highest popularity in the last decade, regional popularity in Kuwait, and related topics that might be of interest. The subsequent sections would include detailed summaries of two academic sources—books, journal articles, or credible reports—each summarized around 100 words. These summaries would highlight the purpose, key findings, and relevance of each source to the research topic. Finally, the paper would include a table listing the bibliographic elements of each source, such as author(s), publication date, title, publisher, and other pertinent details, with all information properly cited in APA style.

Sample Paper for the Above Instructions

In today's rapidly evolving technological landscape, selecting an appropriate research topic is essential for meaningful academic inquiry. For this project, our group chose the topic of "Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Its Impact on Workforce Automation." We selected this topic due to its significant influence on employment patterns, economic development, and ethical considerations worldwide.

Using Google Trends, we examined the popularity of the term "Artificial Intelligence" over the past decade. The keyword "Artificial Intelligence" was chosen due to its widespread use and relevance. The top ten countries where the search term was most popular include the United States, India, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Germany, France, Japan, South Korea, and China, reflecting global interest. The search trend peaked around 2018–2019, indicating increased public and academic attention during that period. In Kuwait, the relative popularity was approximately 65 out of 100, indicating moderate interest. Related topics of concern included "Machine Learning," "Robotics," "Automation," and "Ethics in AI," which are interconnected areas worth exploring further.

For academic sources, we selected two peer-reviewed articles from reputable databases.
