Case 2: Having completed your case analysis on your first hospitality

Choose a hospitality company in another sector of the industry that you are interested in but have not previously explored. Conduct a comprehensive case study analysis that includes the company's mission/vision, internal strengths and weaknesses (including financial and stock market analysis), external environment elements (opportunities and threats), and identify a problem along with possible solutions. The analysis should be practical, realistic, specific, and original, supporting recommendations with data and clear justification. Make reasonable assumptions and supplement information with additional research as needed.

The analysis must follow a structured format:

Paper For Above instruction

Section One – Background

Provide a brief narrative of the salient facts of the selected hospitality company, including its history and pertinent background information. Keep it concise and precise, approximately one page.

Section Two – Problem Statement

State the central problem of the case in a narrative form and list observable symptoms of this problem. The description should be around one page.

Section Three – SWOT Analysis

  • Strengths
  • Weaknesses
  • Opportunities
  • Threats

List at least four points under each category in rank order, using information from the case and relevant PowerPoint resources.

Section Four – Financial Analysis

Calculate at least two financial ratios to evaluate the company's recent financial performance. For each ratio, include the name, definition, the ratio results for the most recent two years, and an evaluation of whether the findings are poor, satisfactory, or excellent with an explanation.

Section Five – Alternative Solutions

Propose a minimum of three alternative strategies to address the core problem. Assign a strategy name to each and list at least three benefits and three drawbacks (pros and cons) for each solution. Avoid "do nothing" as a solution; solutions should be actionable and realistic. These should span 1-2 pages.

Section Six – Conclusion and Recommendations

Select the most suitable solution from the options provided. Justify your choice and develop an action plan that explains how the solution will resolve the original problem. The section should be 1-2 pages.

All work must be formatted in MLA style, be free from errors, and submitted on time. Include a title page, table of contents, and references.
