Please respond to each of the questions directly on this document and then answer the two reflection questions at the end of the document.
Academic Plan
To help you get the most out of your GCU experience, GCU offers support, services, and resources that enhance your academic pursuits. Find your major and program on the provided website and complete the table below:
- In which program of study are you enrolled, or plan to enroll?
- What are some of the program core courses you are looking forward to taking and why?
- Which courses do you anticipate being the most challenging? Explain why.
Spiritual Plan
GCU is committed to integrating faith across all aspects of the community, stemming from its mission to educate students from a Christian perspective and prepare them for careers that honor God while serving others. After reviewing GCU's "One Foundation," including the "Ethical Positions Statement" and "Doctrinal Statement," and watching the corresponding video, reflect on your takeaways:
What did you learn from the readings and video? How can you apply this understanding during your time at GCU? (50-100 words)
Additionally, consider what service outside of the classroom means to you:
How can you apply service while at GCU? (50-100 words)
Career Plan
GCU offers various career tools to assist in discovering potential career paths, building resumes, searching for employment, and more. Complete the five Self-Assessment activities (Work Interest, Personality, Leisure, Values, Skills) on the GCU Career Compass website using the provided access code. After completing the assessments, research your results and:
- List and describe at least three job descriptions.
- Discuss any surprises you found in your results, or explain why there were none. (words)
After finishing your current program/degree, outline your plan (e.g., graduate school, internship, career path).

Paper For Above instruction
Achieving personal, academic, spiritual, and career goals requires strategic planning and intentional action. My purpose plan encompasses a holistic approach that integrates my academic pursuits, spiritual growth, and career aspirations. By carefully curating my academic roadmap, leveraging spiritual principles, and exploring career opportunities, I aim to develop a well-rounded and purpose-driven life.
Academic Plan
I am enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration program at GCU. I am particularly excited about core courses such as Principles of Management and Business Ethics because they will provide foundational leadership and moral grounding essential for my future career. Conversely, I anticipate that Advanced Financial Accounting may be challenging due to its complex concepts and rigorous workload. To navigate these challenges, I plan to utilize campus tutoring services, organize study groups, and stay disciplined with my study schedule.
Spiritual Plan
After reviewing GCU's "One Foundation," including the Ethical Positions and Doctrinal Statement, and watching the accompanying video, I gained a deeper appreciation for integrating faith into my academic and professional life. The emphasis on serving others and maintaining integrity resonates with my personal values. I intend to apply this by actively participating in campus ministry and community service projects, embodying Christ's love through my actions. Service outside the classroom, to me, involves volunteering in community outreach programs that align with my faith principles. I plan to continue engaging in service initiatives at GCU to foster personal growth and positively impact my community.
Career Plan
My Self-Assessment results indicated an interest in roles such as Business Analyst, Project Coordinator, and Marketing Specialist. I was somewhat surprised to find a strong inclination toward detailed-oriented roles, reaffirming my skills in organization and analysis. These results guide me toward internships in marketing or project management to gain relevant experience. After completing my degree, I plan to pursue a graduate certificate in Project Management while seeking entry-level positions in business analysis. My long-term goal is to become a certified Project Manager and lead diverse projects within the corporate sector.
Reflection
Self-Management and Self-Leadership Strategies: I intend to employ time management techniques such as creating detailed weekly schedules and setting SMART goals to stay focused. Additionally, I will practice self-discipline and accountability by regularly reviewing my progress and seeking feedback from mentors. To develop self-leadership, I plan to cultivate resilience by maintaining a growth mindset and embracing challenges as opportunities for learning. Developing emotional intelligence will also be a priority to foster better relationships and team collaboration.
GCU Opportunities and Resources: To help me achieve my goals, I will actively participate in GCU’s career services, including resume workshops and networking events. I also plan to engage with the campus ministry and community service programs to nurture my spiritual growth and sense of purpose. Utilizing academic resources such as tutoring services and academic advising will further support my educational success. Finally, I will take advantage of mentorship programs to connect with professionals in my field of interest, gaining insights and guidance on my career pathway.
