For this assignment, you will develop a presentation on a realistic clinical case or topic that interests you, based on either a clinical case you observed during your experience as a student nurse practitioner or a subject of personal interest. The presentation must include detailed clinical information such as subjective data (demographics, chief complaint, history of present illness including the 8 dimensions, medications, allergies, past medical history, family history, past surgical history, social history, health screenings, review of systems), objective data (vital signs, physical assessment, labs reviewed from medical records or an indication if labs have not been recently reviewed), assessment (differential diagnoses, primary diagnosis), plan (laboratory and diagnostic tests, pharmacologic treatment, non-pharmacologic treatment, anticipatory guidance, follow-up plan), and other critical components such as integration of current clinical guidelines, research articles, and the role of the nurse practitioner. The presentation should be 10-15 slides long, less than 5 minutes, and formatted entirely in APA style with proper citations. It must incorporate a minimum of four scholarly journal articles published within the last five years and use current legal or primary sources as applicable.
