Effective teachers analyze professional teaching standards and utilize academic standards to inform their professional responsibilities and to design appropriate curriculum. Review the InTASC standards and the specialized professional association (SPA) standards (e.g., National Council of Teachers of Mathematics) applicable to your teaching area. my teaching area is Social Science 6-12 Address the following in a word analysis: Compare the InTASC standards with the SPA standards to identify at least two common themes. Explain how these themes are represented in each standard set and how they relate to the knowledge, skills, and values of effective teachers. Describe how each set of standards addresses professional collaboration and data-driven instructional decision making. According to the expectations of the profession, as expressed within the InTASC standards, describe how teachers are expected to assume the responsibilities of improving practice and advancing the profession. Include a minimum of two scholarly references to support your professional teaching standards. Prepare this assignment according to the guidelines found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center. An abstract is not required. This assignment uses a rubric. Throughout this course, you analyzed your current work environment to identify their acquiring, developing, and training practices. The final part of this project requires you to determine how to leverage on the human capital within your organization. Use the research you have complied throughout this course to determine how to appropriately develop and motivate your employees.
