Economically, tourism exerts a substantial impact on countries worldwide, contributing significantly to GDP, employment, and foreign exchange earnings. Today, the rise of the internet and online booking platforms has transformed the industry, enabling travelers to plan and execute trips independently, reducing reliance on traditional agencies (Li et al., 2020). Responsible tourism practices emphasize minimizing adverse effects while fostering respect for local cultures. Ecotourism and cultural tourism are growing segments designed to promote sustainable practices, conserving natural resources, and respecting community identities (Scheyvens & Storey, 2019). These efforts aim to balance economic benefits with social and environmental responsibilities.
Contemporary concepts in tourism emphasize sustainability and responsible travel. Similarly, cultural tourism focuses on preserving and promoting artistic and historical heritage, enriching travelers' experiences while supporting local artisans and cultural institutions.
