Review the packet containing the Behavior Styles assessment results from the module content and determine your confidence in its accuracy. Identify your primary and secondary styles based on the assessment. Reflect on your results, providing at least three examples of how your style's strengths contribute to being an invaluable team member. Describe the characteristics of the other two behavior styles and specify any parts of your secondary style for which you will need to rely on other team members.
Select three family members or significant others (or a substitute such as a roommate or close friend) and, based on observation and past interactions, determine their primary behavior style (A, C, P, S) and justify your reasoning objectively.
Review the reading packet section on conflict and tension reactions. Reflect on a recent disagreement. Describe the tension-reaction behavior between you and the other person: what triggered each of your reactions, who withdrew or attacked, and whether anyone apologized.
Using the behavior style model, discuss how you might have diffused this argument based on your understanding of behavior styles and specific needs. Identify your needs versus the other person's needs.
Propose how you could act differently to better accommodate the other person and potentially prevent future disagreements, utilizing your knowledge of their style.
