Louatez C Wilsongs1145meeting My Goalsthe Major Purpose Of This Paper
The major purpose of this paper is to explain my goals of becoming a computer & information systems manager. I love the idea of using my mind to help problem solve and troubleshoot problems for companies that could potentially save them millions of dollars. I understand that this career requires sacrifice and some sleepless nights. According to the U.S. Department of Labor (2015), most computer & information system managers work full time, often exceeding 40 hours a week. I recognize that I will need to manage my time wisely to balance work and family while providing a better life for them.
Hard work is essential to making a significant difference for myself and my family. Despite the travel and late nights, I believe it will be worth it, especially as it opens up opportunities for my children to see a successful career in IT. This career path is a foundation that I aim to build for the future. Most computer and information system managers hold at least a master's degree with an emphasis on technology to meet the increasing demand, projected to grow at least 16 percent through 2016 (careerprofiles.info, 2015).
Initially, I was pursuing only a bachelor’s degree, but I now understand that obtaining a master’s degree is necessary to fully realize my potential and remain competitive. With faith, determination, and a strong desire to succeed, I am committed to completing my educational goals. My experience at ITT-Tech has been valuable in shaping my future, and I see this as only the beginning of a new chapter in my life. This project has inspired me to strive for excellence and to view my goals as a motivator, similar to preparing for a challenge or battle.
