In the following project, you will edit a handout that describes an event being hosted by Sturgeon Point Productions. You will insert text, insert and format graphics, insert and modify text boxes and shapes.

For grading purposes, you are required to perform the following tasks:

  1. Start Microsoft Word. Download and open the file named go16_wd_ch01_grader_1e_as.docx.
  2. Type "Internship Available for Photography Assistant" and then press ENTER. Insert the text from the grader data file go_w01_grader_a1_Assistant.
  3. Apply the Fill – White, Outline – Accent 1, Glow – Accent 1 (second row, fourth effect) text effect to the document title. Change the font size to 44.
  4. Change the title font color to Green, Accent 6, Lighter 80% (second color). Apply an Outer Shadow (second style, Offset Left). Center the title.
  5. Position the cursor at the beginning of the paragraph starting with "Light Magic Studios." Insert the image file go_w01_grader_a1_Scenery at this point.
  6. Change the height of the picture to 3.4 inches and set the layout option to Square.
  7. Use the Layout command to open the Layout dialog box. Change the Horizontal Alignment to Right relative to the Margin.
  8. Apply a 10-point Soft Edges picture effect. Then, from the Artistic Effects gallery, select the third effect, Paint Brush.
  9. Apply a 3-point Page Border with Shadow style to the document. Choose the first style and set the color to Blue-Gray, Text 2 (first color in the fourth column).
  10. Below the last paragraph, draw a text box. Set its height to 1.5 inches and width to 4.5 inches.
  11. Open the Layout dialog box for the text box. Set Horizontal Alignment to Centered relative to the page. Set Vertical Absolute position to 0.5 inches below the paragraph.
  12. Inside the text box, type the following text: "This position requires: Knowledge of pro DSLR cameras, Advanced photographic lighting skills."
  13. Change the font size of the text in the text box to 18, apply Bold formatting, and center the text.
  14. Apply a Shape Style "Subtle Effect – Green, Accent 6" to the text box. Change the Shape Outline to Black, Text 1.
  15. Insert the file name into the footer of the document.
  16. Save and close the document. Exit Word and submit the file as directed.
