Binkowski, C. J. (2012). Joseph F. Lamb: A Passion for Ragtime. Jefferson: McFarland & Co., Publishers. The book focuses greatly on the enthusiasm and passion that Joseph F. Lamb had on ragtime music alongside the other two renowned ragtime composers and singers—Scott Joplin and James Scott. As a champion of Joplin’s ideals, Lamb is seen to return to composing and singing of ragtime and gained recognition long after the end of ragtime. Jasen, D. A. (2007). Ragtime: An Encyclopedia, Discography, and Sheetography. Taylor & Francis. The book is a definitive reference about ragtime music and jazz, with detailed biographies of great composers, their compositions, a comprehensive discography of recordings, and a detailed sheetography of published rags. Students are to write a paragraph identifying the type of anxiety disorder, with specific examples of behavior that meet diagnostic criteria. The student should list the criteria according to the DSM-IV or DSM-V and indicate which manual they are using to list the criteria of the disorder. Students are to watch the movie, take notes on how the specific disorder is manifested (what are the behaviors associated with the behavior), what are the reactions of other characters or the individual to the disorder, and how does the disorder affect the normal living of the individual with the specific disorder. A total of 4 points will be given for doing this assignment and a total of 11 movies will be posted. Please do not give me summaries of the movie.
