Qualitative research provides a rich understanding of human behaviors, perceptions, and experiences. The current project aims to explore the lived experiences of first-generation college students and how these experiences influence their academic persistence and personal development. This qualitative study seeks to answer specific research questions to yield in-depth insights into the unique challenges and support mechanisms that shape these students’ college journeys.
Research Questions
The primary research questions guiding this study are as follows:

Challenges and Support Needs
