Phi 120 Critical Thinking Assignment Week 9assignment 2 Problem Sol
When faced with a problem, what do you do to solve it? This assignment asks you to apply a six-step problem solving process to a specific problem scenario. You will write a paper that presents a synthesis of your ideas about solving the problem using this systematic approach. Choose one (1) of the problem scenarios as a topic choice for your paper (Note: Your professor must approve your topic choice before you begin work on the assignment.)
Paper For Above instruction
The paper should include the following components based on the six-step problem solving process outlined in the course materials: define the problem, analyze the problem, generate options for solving it, evaluate these options, choose the best option, and explain how you will implement and reflect on this decision. Your response should be comprehensive, approximately 4-5 pages in length, and supported by at least 4-5 credible references.
Begin with an introductory paragraph that presents the problem scenario you selected and provides context for your analysis. Follow with well-organized body paragraphs that address each of the six steps, including clear topic sentences and supporting details. Conclude with a summary paragraph that reflects on the effectiveness of your decision-making process and the chosen solution.
Your writing must adhere to standard rules of English grammar, punctuation, and mechanics, and follow the Strayer Writing Standards (SWS). Ensure your paper is well-researched, incorporating relevant sources to support your analysis and decisions. Proper citations and references are essential.
Note: Choose one of the following scenarios—subject to instructor approval—or present your own scenario:
- Scenario 1: Career decision involving a job offer with ethical considerations about education and relocation.
- Scenario 2: Child's school project and parental influence on independence versus assistance.
- Scenario 3: Balancing multiple responsibilities, health concerns, and time management as a student and parent.
- Scenario 4: Work environment suspicion about coworker's honesty affecting sales performance.
- Scenario 5: Problem scenario provided by your professor.
- Scenario 6: Your own presented problem scenario.
