Your second recorded assignment is to prepare a 6-minute speech to persuade. Choose a topic you feel truly passionate about, such as motivating people to donate clothes to a homeless shelter or volunteering at a local nursing home. If you select a controversial topic, be sure to present both sides and provide solid academic sources.

A minimum of 4 academic sources is required for this assignment. For the first part of your assignment, submit a complete sentence outline (NOT a topic outline or a written transcript). Use my example outline as a guide, which I explain in the Week 3 Lecture - Part 2. No other format will be accepted, so please follow the provided example to ensure your assignment meets the requirements. Visual aids ARE REQUIRED for this speech.

You must show the visual aids during your presentation, and list them in your outline after the conclusion and before the References section. The speech must include at least 4 credible peer-reviewed academic sources that you will verbally cite during the speech and include in the APA-formatted References section of your outline. Incorporate a variety of source types such as books, magazines, online libraries, brochures, interviews, and videos, as this will positively impact your grade.
