Reflecting on the knowledge and experiences gained throughout this course, I find that qualitative research studies are most comfortable for me. I appreciate their exploratory nature and the depth of understanding they provide into human behaviors and perceptions. Qualitative research, with its emphasis on narrative data, allows me to engage more meaningfully with the material, as it often involves interviews, focus groups, and observations that offer rich, detailed insights. This type of study permits exploration of complex phenomena that are difficult to quantify, resonating with my learning style and interest in understanding context and nuance.
Participating in discussions has significantly enhanced my comprehension of various research methodologies and their applications. Engaging with peers and instructors facilitated a deeper grasp of concepts such as validity, reliability, and ethical considerations in research.
