Project 2: Persuasive Presentation On Running A Travel Agenc
Project 2persuasive Presentationyou Run A Travel Agency You Want To C
You run a travel agency, you want to create an eye-catching and attractive advertisement using PowerPoint. You will schedule a time to present this to me via ZOOM. The content of your presentation will be the FOUR current trips/vacation packages being offered at discounted rates for this year's winter season. This presentation will be set to run continuously, that is, when it reaches the end, it will loop back to the beginning and continue without intervention. Sound may enhance your presentation.
Your purpose is to entice or persuade web surfers to book a vacation through your travel agency (desired outcome). In order to ensure a professional and engaging presentation, you’ll need to consider your purpose and desired outcomes, analyze your audience and their needs, include accurate information in your presentation. Once you begin creating in PowerPoint, you’ll also need to develop a “theme” for your presentation, taking into consideration design principles, color usage, and matching presentation needs with its contents. In addition to the items above, your PowerPoint presentation should include the following:
- Custom design theme that reflects the theme of your presentation (create it yourself, though you may modify an existing design theme)
- Graphics and pictures related to travel and each vacation package
- A chart or SmartArt diagram
- Appropriate design techniques (attractive styles, fonts, colors, text alignment, graphics, animation of slide objects, transitions, sound and drawing objects, WordArt)
- Table formatted attractively using varying colors, styles, borders and fill effects
- A continuously running presentation with appropriate timings
- Saved PowerPoint file named TRAVEL PRESENTATION.pptx
This presentation will be loaded to the travel agency website, so save your presentation as a MOVIE that can be uploaded to the website and played by anyone visiting the site.
Save this as TRAVEL MOVIE.wmv. (WMV stands for Windows Media Video).
Follow all planning and finishing steps to ensure an appropriate and professional presentation (create your own data for this presentation, keeping in mind a time/data limit you feel would be appropriate). Things to keep in mind:
- Your presentation needs to be exciting and eye-catching! We WANT people to book a trip!
- The layout of information, design, color choices, content, images and animation on each slide should go along with the entire THEME of your presentation (and should follow principles that we’ve learned in class).
- This is an opportunity to SHOW OFF your skills!
TURN IN TWO FILES to D2L: 1. TRAVEL PRESENTATION.pptx (the PowerPoint slideshow) 2. TRAVEL MOVIE.wmv (the video file for website) 3. ASSESSMENT CHECKLIST
Paper For Above instruction
Creating a compelling and persuasive travel agency advertisement involves the development of a well-structured, visually appealing, and engaging PowerPoint presentation that effectively highlights four current vacation packages at winter discounts. This presentation aims to entice potential travelers to book trips through attractive visuals, strategic design, and engaging multimedia elements. This paper discusses the planning, design, and execution of such a presentation, emphasizing critical aspects like audience targeting, thematic consistency, visual appeal, and technical execution.
Introduction
The primary goal of the presentation is to persuade prospective customers to select the travel agency for their winter vacation plans. To achieve this, the presentation must be not only informative but also compelling and visually stimulating. The planning phase involves identifying the four vacation packages, their unique features, and the discounts offered, ensuring that these details are presented accurately and attractively. Understanding the target audience—likely holiday travelers seeking winter escapes—guides the design and content choices, ensuring relevance and appeal.
Design and Theme Development
A consistent and captivating theme anchors the presentation, created either from scratch or by modifying existing templates. The theme should evoke a sense of adventure, relaxation, or exotic destinations, aligning with winter travel escapades. Color schemes—such as cool blues, warm oranges, or vibrant tropical hues—are selected to evoke emotion and match the theme. The font choices should be clear, attractive, and easy to read, with accents like WordArt to emphasize key points. All slides should maintain visual cohesion, with layouts harmonized to enhance readability and aesthetic appeal.
Visual and Multimedia Content
Incorporating high-quality graphics and pictures related to travel—involving beaches, mountains, cultural sites, or cityscapes—helps create an immersive experience. Each vacation package features its own images to personalize and distinguish offerings. A chart or SmartArt diagram visually compares package features such as price, destinations, included amenities, and duration, enabling quick comprehension. Animations on slide objects and transitions add dynamism to the presentation, but should be used judiciously to avoid distraction.
Technical Aspects and Interactivity
The presentation must run continuously once launched, with well-planned timings for each slide and animation to ensure a seamless loop. Sound effects or background music—appropriate to the theme—enhance engagement without overpowering the content. The table presenting package details is attractively formatted with complementary colors, borders, and fill effects to improve readability.
Finally, converting the PowerPoint to a movie format (WMV) makes it accessible for web integration. The exported video should maintain high quality, synchronized timings, and appropriate audio, ensuring a professional appearance when uploaded to the travel agency’s website.
Conclusion
A successful persuasive travel advertisement combines strong visual design, compelling content, multimedia enhancements, and meticulous technical execution. By carefully planning each step—from theme development and content curation to animation and video export—a travel agency can craft a powerful promotional tool that attracts and convinces potential clients to book their winter getaways. Proper attention to detail, high-quality graphics, and engaging presentation techniques will maximize impact and increase the likelihood of booking conversions.
