Throughout the semester, I encountered various challenges and achievements that have shaped my approach to writing and learning. This reflection will explore my high and low points, the choices that influenced my progress, the most helpful lessons and assignments, and suggestions for improving the course.
Initially, one of the high points of this course was mastering the concept of voice in writing. I learned how to develop a unique and authentic voice that conveys my personality and perspective effectively. An assignment that particularly helped me was the personal narrative, which encouraged me to write candidly and vividly about my experiences. The process of drafting, receiving feedback, and revising allowed me to understand the importance of tone and style, making my writing more engaging and genuine. This experience boosted my confidence and motivated me to experiment with different writing styles.
However, I also faced challenges, especially with organization and paragraph development. At the start, my essays often lacked coherence, and my ideas sometimes felt scattered.
