Adding two more engineers increases the total to 17, which results in 17(17 - 1)/2 = 136 communication channels. The increase due to hiring these additional engineers is thus 136 - 105 = 31 channels. This significant rise underscores the importance of managing communication effectively and implementing stratified communication protocols to prevent information overload, redundancies, and miscommunications within large teams (Karagedikli et al., 2019).
