Many students develop their own strategies based on personal preferences and experiences, but there are also proven methods outlined in academic resources that can enhance productivity and reduce stress. In this paper, I will reflect on my current time management practices, explore strategies from the "Time Management" section of Chapter 4 in the University Success Guide, and discuss how I plan to improve my efficiency moving forward.
Currently, I employ several basic strategies to manage my time effectively. These include creating to-do lists, prioritizing assignments based on deadlines and importance, and setting specific time blocks for studying. I also utilize digital calendars to schedule study sessions and reminders to stay on track. These methods help me stay organized and ensure that I allocate sufficient time to complete coursework without last-minute cramming. Additionally, I avoid multitasking because it often leads to decreased focus and productivity, which compromises my ability to complete tasks effectively.
From the resources provided, particularly the "Time Management" section in Chapter 4 of the University Success Guide, I learned about additional strategies that could enhance my current practices. Moreover, minimizing distractions during study sessions, such as turning off notifications and using website blockers, enhances focus.
