Similarly, vague statements concerning skills, such as “excellent communication skills,” were replaced with specific abilities like “Ability to effectively communicate complex marketing strategies to clients and internal teams both in writing and orally.”

Another frequently encountered vague statement was related to performance metrics. Phrases such as “contribute to team goals” or “support sales targets” were elevated to precise targets, like “Achieve a minimum of 10% growth in client engagement metrics per quarter” or “Support a sales quota of $1 million annually.”
