Leadership primarily pertains to setting a vision, inspiring others, and fostering change within an organization. Leaders are forward-thinking, emphasizing innovation, motivation, and strategic direction (Lauffer, 2011). They influence organizational culture by cultivating an environment that encourages collaboration, adaptability, and continuous improvement. In social agencies, leaders often work to develop a shared mission that aligns staff efforts with community needs, emphasizing the importance of ethical values and social justice principles (Northouse, 2018).
In contrast, management involves the administration and coordination of resources to achieve organizational goals efficiently and effectively (Lauffer, 2011).
