This research paper aims to explore a pertinent social or environmental justice issue, formulating a compelling argument supported by credible sources. The purpose is to investigate a current and relevant topic, analyze various perspectives, and articulate a well-reasoned stance. The paper must demonstrate critical engagement with existing scholarship and utilize a diverse array of sources, including peer-reviewed journal articles, books, and reputable websites.
The structure of the paper will follow conventional academic standards, beginning with an introduction that clearly presents the issue along with a thesis statement that encapsulates the central claim. The introduction should contextualize the problem and indicate the significance of the issue, setting the stage for the ensuing discussion.
The body of the essay will be organized into several paragraphs, each with a clear topic sentence, presenting supporting evidence, and addressing counterarguments. It is essential to engage critically with opposing views, acknowledge limitations, and respond convincingly to critiques. The inclusion of at least five high-quality outside sources will reinforce the argument, providing statistics, expert opinions, and scholarly analysis. In doing so, the paper will not only substantiate claims but also demonstrate engagement with current discourse on social or environmental justice matters.
The conclusion will succinctly restate the thesis, synthesize main points, and underscore the importance of the issue. It should leave the reader with a clear understanding of the writer’s stance and the necessity for further action or consideration.
Throughout, proper MLA citation practices must be followed, and the paper should be meticulously proofread to eliminate grammatical and typographical errors. The final submission should be 5-6 pages long, double-spaced, using Times New Roman 12-point font or Calibri 11-point font. The assignment deadline is specified, requiring students to submit early drafts for peer review and the final version through Canvas.
