Select a nonprofit organization with which you are familiar or that you have an interest in researching. In particular, choose an organization that delivers a shared service with a state or local government. Describe the service, the partnership or shared service involved, and how technology, especially social media, has enhanced or could enhance the delivery of this service. Focus your project on one of the following areas:
- State and Local Government: A new public, quasi-public, or nonprofit initiative involving public health, transportation, infrastructure, criminal justice, community development, urban planning, municipal safety, or urban beautification, including interlocal, regional, state, or nationwide efforts impacting governance for the public good.
- Emergency Preparedness and Response: A community or jurisdictional emergency management plan involving local, state, or federal collaboration.
- Homeland Security: A community plan for local response to a Federal Homeland Security initiative.
Include an overview of your selected organization and a draft table of contents for your paper for instructor approval. Your paper should be at least 300 words, double-spaced, using Times New Roman font size 12 with one-inch margins. Follow APA formatting for citations and references. Prepare a cover page with the assignment title, your name, instructor’s name, course title, and the date.
