We will start the Carit site with three static HTML pages and a CSS file. Create a dedicated folder for this project. This folder should contain all related files. The website should include the following pages:
1. A homepage named “index.html” that contains a description of the center, using proper HTML tags such as headings, paragraphs, and lists for the latest news. You may include additional content like banners or a front image.
2. An "About Us" (faculty) page that presents at least three faculty members with their images, positions, research interests, and contact information. Each faculty member's name should be a link to their personal website.
3. A third page of your choosing, such as Projects, Resources, or Events, incorporating at least one table to display content.
All three pages should have the following common elements:
- The center's name prominently in a large heading.
- A logo linking to the homepage.
- A navigation menu with three text links to the three pages, styled with hover effects.
- These elements should be consistent across all pages.
Style requirements include:
- A unified, clean, and simple aesthetic with neat and minimal color usage.
- Styled HTML elements such as paragraphs, images, and lists to create an appealing layout.
- Links should have custom colors, distinct from default.
- Menu links should have different styles from other links, with hover effects that change their appearance.
All styling should be done through a single CSS file (.css) shared across all pages. Organize content using semantic tags like
Images should be stored in an "img" subdirectory. Do not rely on third-party style frameworks or copying code; write clean, original HTML and CSS.
Ensure all pages are functional and hosted properly on your server, providing a live URL.
For submission, include:
- A live URL to your project.
- A milestone PDF report with a cover page, brief overview of your work, explanations of how the requirements are met, screenshots of each webpage with labels and explanations, and the URL.
- All source files zipped into a .zip archive (excluding the report).
