Week 6 Assignment: Write Your Introduction Here Include One
Week 6 Assignment 2write Your Introduction Here Include One 1 Parag
Write your introduction here. Include one (1) paragraph (not more than 6 lines of text) that explains what your paper will discuss. Much of your introduction may be taken from the assignment instructions (in your own words). Read all assignment resources to understand what should be included in your paper. Be sure to review the assignment instructions in Blackboard, the grading rubric, and relevant course announcements to understand the requirements. Do not exceed six lines of text in this introduction. There should be no direct quotes in this section. After reading these instructions, replace this blue text with your introduction and change the font color to black.
General Environment
In this section, you will choose the two (2) segments of the general environment that would rank highest in their influence on the public corporation you chose for assignment 1. You must select from the segments discussed in the course (see table 2.1 in the textbook). Do not assess all segments—only the two (2) most influential. You will then assess how these segments affect the corporation and its industry.
Segment 1
This subsection assesses the first of the two (2) segments of the general environment you believe has the highest influence. Change the subheading “Segment 1” to the name of your selected segment. Provide an analysis of how this segment influences your corporation and industry, applying concepts from the course resources. Avoid definitions or copying from your previous assignment. Your assessment should be thorough, demonstrating understanding and application of course concepts, with specific relevance to the selected corporation outside general summaries.
Segment 2
Repeat the assessment process for the second selected segment, replacing the subheading “Segment 2” with the segment's name. Ensure your analysis is detailed and directly related to your corporation and its industry, incorporating course concepts. Avoid superficial responses and unsupported generalities.
Five Forces of Competition
In this section, you will identify the two (2) most significant forces of competition impacting your chosen corporation, based on figure 2.2 in the textbook. For each force, you will evaluate how well the company has addressed this force recently, providing a detailed analysis.
Force 1
Begin with the first selected force, changing “Force 1” to its name. Delve into why this force is significant for your corporation. Assess how the company has responded to this force recently, applying course concepts and demonstrating a clear understanding. Support your evaluation with research and proper citations.
Force 2
Repeat this process for the second force, changing “Force 2” to its proper name. Provide a comprehensive analysis of its importance and the company's recent handling of the force, grounded in course concepts and supported by research.
Future Improvements
With the same two forces assessed, predict what actions the company might take to better address these forces in the near future. Your predictions must be your own, specific to your corporation, and based on the previous evaluations. Describe strategies or tactics that the company could implement to mitigate threats or capitalize on opportunities stemming from these forces. Support your proposals with relevant course concepts and justification.
Greatest External Threat
Identify the external threat most significant to your corporation, justified by its potential impact and comparison to other threats. Discuss the strategic actions or strategies the company should adopt to effectively address this threat, explaining why these actions are likely to succeed based on your analysis and course concepts.
Greatest Opportunity
Determine and justify the greatest opportunity available to your corporation. Explain why this opportunity is critical, including its potential impact, and propose strategies to capitalize on it. Justify your recommendations with course concepts and support your reasoning.
Strengths and Weaknesses
Provide your views on your corporation’s most substantial internal strengths and weaknesses. Justify why these are significant, grounded in specific analysis rather than generalities. Discuss how these internal factors influence the company's strategic positioning.
Strategy or Tactic
Suggest strategies or tactics the corporation should pursue to maximize its strengths and address its weaknesses. Justify why these strategies are appropriate, detailed and tailored to your corporation's specific context, supporting your choices with course concepts.
Resources, Capabilities, and Core Competencies
Identify key resources, capabilities, and core competencies of your corporation, explaining their relevance to competitive advantage. Your analysis should be detailed, demonstrating application of course concepts and understanding of how these elements contribute to strategic success.
